Title: Yellow HandkerchiefAccording to E! Online, the first footage from New Moon will premiere at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are rumored to be presenting the minute-long clip, which will be the first official footage from what is one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
Twilighters will remember this all too well from last year, when the MTV Movie Awards was the first to show a scene from Twilight. Databases crashed the minute the clip went online, with thousands of fans screaming and Oh-My-Edward-ing as soon as Pattinson appeared on screen.
The 2009 awards will be on a TV near you on May 31st, live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. Can’t wait? Well, neither can we.

Fangoria.com posted this about a New Moon Official site!:
Our friends at Summit Entertainment have just flipped the switch on the official website for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON.
The new site features downloads, widgets, photos, and a hi-res download of the previously released poster artwork that was unveiled last week.
Don’t forget – fans who want to see more of NEW MOON can tune in to the 2009 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, May 31 at 9 p.m. EST, during which stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will debut a clip from the Chris Weitz – directed movie. The first TWILIGHT is up for Best Movie, Best Female Performance (Stewart) and Breakthrough Performance: Male (Pattinson and Lautner).

When a St. Louis woman found a copy of the script for New Moon in the trash, she must have asked herself, “WWECD?”
Returning the pages to the movie studio, rather than leaking them online or selling them to the highest tabloid bidder, is exactly what Edward Cullen would have done…and it’s exactly what Casey Ray did.
The salon owner was waiting for her fiancé outside the very hotel where the cast of George Clooney’s Up in the Air was staying. Upon peering into a nearby garbage can, she discovered the scripts to the Twilight sequel, as well as a movie called Memoirs.
Ray stood to make a pretty penny had she offered the script to a tabloid or on put it up on eBay, but instead, she chose to take the high road and returned both documents to Summit Entertainment.
In return, the treasure spotter reportedly earned herself a pair of tickets to both films’ premieres.
“We thank and commend Ms. Ray for doing the right thing in returning the scripts to the studio,” a spokesman for Summit tells E! News. He could not confirm the do-gooder’s invitation to the films’ openers.
While It remains unclear how the coveted papers made their way to the dumpster, we have our suspicions. Actress Anna Kendrick stars in Up in the Air and just so happens to play Bella’s pal Jessica opposite Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in New Moon.
A request for comment from Kendrick’s rep has yet to be returned.

Attention, Twilight fans: the trailer for the sequel, New Moon, already has a release date. Mark your calendars, and flock to the cinemas on August 14, when the film’s trailer will be released.
The New Moon trailer will be attached to Bandslam, another Summit Entertainment movie which looks like a rockier version of High School Musical. It’s got everything down pat, even–the film centers on Will Burton, a newcomer at a high school in New Jersey who strikes a friendship with Sa5m–no, that’s not a typo, and it’s basically “Sam” with a number in the middle–and with popular girl Charlotte, who goads them to join a band competition. That band that they form will go up against a Springsteen-inspired band fronted by, of all people, Charlotte’s ex-boyfriend.
Part of that film’s cast? Newcomer Gaelen Connell, Alyson Michalka (one half of Aly & AJ), Lisa Kudrow, and High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens. Makes it a pretty good watch for those who would’ve flocked to the cinemas to just watch the New Moon trailer, right? Good thinking, Summit Entertainment.
